HOT Summit 2017- OSM Mapping our Impact

HOT Summit 2017- OSM Mapping our Impact

Thursday September 14th, 2017
8 am – 6 pm

Bayview Yards, 7 Bayview Road

On September 14-15, 2017 HOT will convene for a global community meeting. The entire HOT community will come together to showcase projects, discuss and share ideas, and learn how mapping projects can have impact on the lives beyond the people mapping and create better disaster and development outcomes.

What is the HOT Summit?

Now in its third year, the HOT Summit brings together people from around the world working to make open geographic data available to improve the places they live and work through OpenStreetMap.

Sessions will be a mix of workshops, presentations, lighting talks and roundtable discussions, with plenty of space and time for meeting fellow HOT community members, hacking, talking and collaboration.

Should I attend?
Whether you’re a humanitarian or development professional, community builder, educator, geographer, journalist, philanthropist, software developer, volunteer mapper, or want to learn more about open data and OpenStreetMap and it's applications in development and disaster interventions-- you’re invited and welcome!

Where will the HOT Summit be?

Sitting just beneath Ottawa's Lazy Bay, the Innovation Centre at Bayview Yards welcomes you at 7 Bayview Rd, Ottawa, ON K1Y 3B5.
